Before you need it

  1. Download TapSOS and create your account.
  2. Let the app register your mobile number with BT's emergencySMS service.
  3. Add your medical information and emergency contacts.
  4. Try practice mode, so you know exactly what to do.

You will need a phone running a supported version of iOS or Android, and a mobile signal when you send an alert.
